About Cakes' Cattery

We are a small family-owned Maine Coon cattery in Peoria, IL. After adding Gildie Girl to our family, we decided to start breeding ourselves because we wanted to share the joy and love that these amazing animals bring to our lives. It was around this time that our sweet Reina Cakes passed away, and so in her honor, we named our company after her.

*Breeding rights will only be considered for established TICA catteries that obtain hip radiographs, HCM checks, and DNA testing on all their breeders! 

At Cakes' Cattery, we believe in responsible breeding practices that prioritize the health and well-being of our cats and kittens. This includes hip radiographs taken and sent to OFA for our breeders, as well as HCM scans and DNA testing. 

It is very important to us that kittens are handled as young as possible so that they can thrive in different home environments. They are exposed to other cats, dogs, and children from an early age so they can learn how to get along with everyone they meet. Additionally, they regularly receive baths, nail trims, and grooming as they prepare for their new families.
